Listen: As my post on Monday mentioned I am rediscovering my music collection, especially older tunes. Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol has been on repeat lately. There is nothing like singing a familiar song at the top of your lungs to put you in a good mood!
Eat: Rice pasta in place of wheat pasta. You know, I actually like it. I have been trying to eat less gluten – just a lifestyle change I am trying out – and this switch is working for me.
Buy: Toms! I am madly in love with these leather booties from Toms that I purchased as part of my capsule wardrobe. If you are looking for a boot for this fall I highly recommend these, and honestly, I recommend Toms in general. These shoes are so comfortable!
Read: WomanCode. Alisa Vitti lays out a rather interesting argument about how women should be aligning their lifestyle with their monthly cycle. Yep, that’s right. She argues that what women want to eat to how productive they feel at the office to the type of exercise they want to do can be traced back to where they are in their cycle. I’m not finished with it yet, but really enjoying her findings and I am trying some of her recommendations out (like eating less gluten).
Listen: Magic Lessons podcast by Elizabeth Gilbert (also author of Eat, Pray, Love). I completely binged my way through the episodes.
Eat: Becca encouraged me to join her on the Simple Green Smoothies 30 day challenge so I’m enjoying my green drinks. I like easily getting some nutrients into my diet everyday.
Buy: My refurbished Vitamix blender which is helping me make the smoothies I mentioned above. I’ve been thinking of buying one for awhile, but didn’t realize I could get one cheaper by buying it refurbished!
Read: The Wall Street Journal. The paper version. After reading the paper version a few times while traveling, I realized I missed it after probably 8 or 9 years of not reading it. There’s still something to be said for someone thoughtfully curating articles with topics people should know about. I like having a much better pulse on what’s going on in the world too!
What are you loving lately? Anything we should check out??
