Fall is just 5 days away. Are you ready? I’m not sure if we are or not. While we do have a love of the fall – cute sweaters, ankle boots, leaves changing – it does mean we are one season away from winter, which at the moment we aren’t too thrilled about. Farmer’s almanac says we are in for a bad one this year. Not sure what that means but anyway… here are the things we are Loving Lately!
I am so in love with this bath scrub from SF Salt Company I picked up while on vacation this summer. My skin is so amazing smooth after I use it. I mean it was so smooth I almost slipped. Oops!
Fresh flowers! I used to (for no good reason) feel that getting flowers weekly wasn’t worth the money. I must have been crazy, or perhaps too practical. I SO love having fresh flowers around the house. I love how they smell and I enjoy looking at them throughout my mornings, evenings and weekends. Perhaps one day I will have a garden where I can pick them instead of buy them; but until then, thank you Trader Joe’s $3.99 bunches.
Based on being on vacation recently and then being bed-ridden with sickness this last week, I’ve been tearing through books and loved both Brene Brown’s Rising Strong and Mindy Kaling’s book Why Not Me? Obviously, they are totally different types of books, but I enjoyed both!
I loved learning more about art and sketching from my talented artist Aunt while we both visited my parents in Colorado. She showed me how she sketches and then goes back over it with a water brush with her little travel watercolors. So cool! I was surrounded by art that my mom, aunt, and grandmother have done while visiting my parents so am inspired to keep playing around myself!
It was quite the month for travel for me so I also loved recruiting my team at work for some new fitness activities while we were traveling. We did a special hike near the Hollywood sign and got up early to do SoulCycle. I have now realized how much more fun it is to work out with people vs. alone so I appreciated their willingness to try some new things!
