I remember taking this photo and thinking exactly these words – do not panic, just breathe. It was March 2008 and I was on Safari in the Serengeti with my mom and six of her friends. Part of me was terrified, thinking that if they wanted to these lions could flip the van and we would be their dinner. The other part of me was in awe, such luck to find this family of lions relaxing in a way that we do with our family. It is a reminder that there is beauty even in fear, that even through the tough times we must strive to breathe and have patience. This idea was something I needed to hear as we got closer and closer to our launch date (thanks Tiff!). When you are trying something new there are bound to be things that you don’t expect, both positive and negative. And when you are in the midst of something that isn’t going quite right, recalculate. Try to find the silver lining and learn from the experience. It is your path and there is a reason why you are on it. So, do not panic, just breathe.
One of my favorite songs by Alexi Murdoch called Breathe.
