Worrying. When I’m making an important decision or anticipating an important event or meeting, I worry. Sometimes I focus on what could go wrong way more than what could go right. You too??
That’s why I love this quote by Lara Casey. “Worrying is like praying for what you don’t want.” It’s such a simple shift. Shift your (limited!) energy from focusing on what could go wrong to what could go right. If you’re a planner like me, you probably still need to acknowledge what could go wrong to make sure you can plan to prevent it as much as possible. But then you need to let it go and focus on how it could go well.
If you’ve been letting worry take over, I hope you’ll keep this in mind. Focus on what you DO want to have happen. All that needless energy on worrying won’t make a difference, but focusing on the positive will.
